IMPORTANT WINTER & SNOW REMINDERS FROM YOUR PET SITTER

IMPORTANT WINTER & SNOW REMINDERS FROM YOUR PET SITTER

A couple reminders as the snow has started to fall, arctic temperatures have arrived & old man winter hits us full blast going into 2015!

1)  Shannon’s Pet Sitting does not plow, snow blow, or shovel driveways & walk ways. If your complex or subdivision DOES NOT have snow removal service please make arrangements for a neighbor, friend, family member or service to clear your driveway and walk ways when there is 2 inches or more of snow.  If we get stuck in your driveway you will you will be sent the tow bill to get us out of the driveway.

IMPORTANT WINTER & SNOW REMINDERS FROM A PET SITTER2) Be sure to salt you entrance ways and leave out Ice Melter/Salt while you are away. If a pet sitter slips and falls entering your home on your property you are liable!
It is recommended you use pet safe ice melter/salt. http://www.safepaw.com Regular Ice melter/Salt can easily be ingested by pets who have walked outdoors in it and then lick their paws to clean them. It is also easily tracked into homes and can be eaten or ingested by a curious pet.IMPORTANT WINTER & SNOW REMINDERS FROM YOUR PET SITTER

3) When bad weather hits visits may be cut short in order to spend less time on the road in bad conditions and to get to other people’s pets.

4) Please be patient in bad weather. We will get to your pets as soon as we are able. We will call, text, or email once we arrive. Dogs, senior & medical need pets will be given first priority in bad weather conditions. We will not be detracted while driving in bad weather to answer calls, text or emails. If for some reason pets have an accident waiting for us to arrive we will be more than willing to clean it up upon arrival.

IMPORTANT WINTER & SNOW REMINDERS FROM YOUR PET SITTER5) In dangerously cold conditions dogs will be taken out to eliminate and then brought right back inside for play time.  We will not subject pets or ourselves to the danger of frost bite and hypothermia.

Thank you for your cooperation and taking our safety as well as your pet’s into consideration! Stay safe & warm this winter!
